The name "Keido" which I received when I ordained as a Soto Zen priest, means "firefly hall." It refers to a place to practice and study which is poorly lit (as if by the light of fireflies.) In this dim light we have to pay careful attention to see what is actually so. These occasional postings are my attempt to shed a tiny light on issues related to Zen, Buddhadharma and popular culture.
Myozen san, it has been awhile! This young bodisattva gave me a belly laugh and inspiration. Here in Bemidji Minnesota, where the snow still covers the ground and the lakes are iced, the warmth of this young teacher is oh so welcome! Geri Taiju Wilimek, Bemidji
