The name "Keido" which I received when I ordained as a Soto Zen priest, means "firefly hall." It refers to a place to practice and study which is poorly lit (as if by the light of fireflies.) In this dim light we have to pay careful attention to see what is actually so. These occasional postings are my attempt to shed a tiny light on issues related to Zen, Buddhadharma and popular culture.
